Caldwell Bipod

Has anyone used the so called "Harris Clones"? The price is tempting. What about the quality?

I have had a shooters ridge which is a direct clone and it worked fine, although it was alittle heavier.

I purchased a "no-name" off eBay for the same reason: price. After receiving it, I compared it to my Harris 6-9 swivel, and the design was literally identical. The materials used, were not. The tensioning system was pretty shaky and would loosen up on the swivel stud often (latch was bowing & screw was walking to the side). I wound up completely removing the tensioner and installed a threaded stud with a knurled nut to lock it in. Works well now.

The leg springs on the Caldwell are not as strong as the Harris. They are worth the money you pay for them. Mine is the swivel notched leg Bipod, I've ran it in Tac match and it performs well. I would change the springs out or buy the Harris.
I own both.
