calculating velocity loss

Is there a formula to calculate how much velocity is lost at different ranges. I know there are lots of variables to consider such as wind, humidity, temperature, and others. I would just like to get ballpark figures.

It's called ballistics.:) No need to settle for ballpark numbers.

WOW, thanks for info guys.:thumb: Thought i was gonna have to purchase some sort of ballistics program even though it still wouldn't be a bad idea.

On the formula for velocity in the first set of ",)" there is 1-3 * the ret. coef.rate how do you know which number to use?
