Keep in mind that some buyers don't want to let everyone know or "advertise" what they are buying. I for one like to keep the majority of my purchases private.

You stop to ask questions and at that time, you're not buying, just asking. Step to the back of the line.

5. Don't go ballistic if you post "I'll take it" and you don't get the deal. The seller may have received other offers by Private Message, email or other mode of communication. The seller also has the right to evaluate details of the transaction (and your offer) before committing to sell. Remember, if you never paid anything you don't have a loss. Man up and move on. Don't post negative feedback simply because you didn't snag a bargain.

Don't assume "I'll take it" means anything! The seller might not like me or want to sell to me or is working with someone else via PM, email, fax or Morse.

That's where the buyer's history comes in to play. Take me for an example. Look at my history. See any "problems" ? That's because I mean what I say and DO what I say. A history tells a lot, and I protect that reputation. If I got "drunk" one night and woke up to see I put an "I'll take it" on a classified, I'd follow thru no matter what the cost. (Yeah, it happened. One of the reasons I quit drinking.) My reputation means more to me than the money. Buyer's history means a lot. I'm not sure if "I like you or not" comes into play.
