Having a 6.5 creedmore being built and really confused as to what scope to get and what cross hairs to buy I have never used any other than duplex cross hairs I belong to a range that has up too 1000 yards I want a simple scope that I can shoot at various ranges maybe too 600 yards not any sort of competition It's really confusing all the different types they have Thanks
It ain't your reticle or your scope. Use your duplex... Need to plot your bullet trajectory... Learn how your scope works.
Why build the rifle if don't know how to use it? How many more years you got to wait??? Could be shooting NOW and learning.
Only reasons you might need a new scope is (1) if your scopes all have friction turn turrets, and (2) IF your scope only has total elevation of 44 to 56 moa, and even that can be overcome if you use a 30moa picatinny rail. Probably will need a new scope base and ring set.
I have a Leupold Ultra 10x M3 with duplex reticle from the factory... The scope turret has a custom dial that compensates for distance/trajectory. The scope will dial to 1200yds and is marked 1-12. If the ammo is loaded to match the dial, it is a dial and dump simple matter; after your gauge the wind...
Need to learn about how scopes work and get the info on your scope's total range for elevation and windage movement.
If you have not paid for your "custom build" yet, I would hold off.
