Bushnell Elite Tactical

Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with a Bushnell Elite Tactical Scope?

I purchased one to put on my 308 long range bolt gun and I'm not too impressed. It's the 2.5-16X42 model and I can't seem to get a clear, sharp focus out of it. And when the focus is the sharpest, the parallax adjustment is off. If I adjust for parallax, then the focus is off.

It's on its way back for warranty work and hopefully they can straighten it out. I was hoping for better from this scope but right now both my Nikon and Leupold scopes are sharper and they cost less than the Bushnell.

Ain't I just the lucky one to get a stinker!!! And it gets better! I mailed it insured to Bushnell on Feb 12th and it still hasn't shown up. The tracking took it to Kansas but there never was a delivery scan. USPS tracking still says "in transit" and Bushnell says it's not in their system.....yet. it still could be in some basement mail room at Bushnell but only time will tell. Just glad I insured the thing!

I believe the 2.5x16x42 you have has inferior glass than red_mamba 4.5x21x50mm FFP . I have a 2.5x16x50mm Elite 6500 and its glass is just ok . My Zeiss 5x25x50mm HD5 puts it to shame. In fact my 15 year old B&L elite 4200 6x24x40mm has better glass ,but it still pales in comparison to my Zeiss .

Just got the scope back a couple of days ago. They fixed the focus/parallax issue but I'm still not impressed with the clarity of the glass.
Also, apparently there's an issue with my rifle that was contributing to the scope problems. I had to use a lot of windage to get the scope centered on target. Couple that with using a 20moa rail and shooting at 100-200yards, I was actually working with the very edge of the lens. At longer distances, I'd be looking through more of the center of the lens but I haven't tried that yet.
I've gotta get the scope aligned with the barrel better and then we'll see how the scope performs. Everything seems to be lined up and I know the rings aren't the problem. Perhaps something with the rail???dunno..... And then maybe the receiver is threaded slightly cockeyed so the barrel is pointing slightly off to one side. Again, dunno....

I had a savage model 10 once that I had that issue with windage, I tried three scopes from different guns on it and it still was off to one side, I sent the gunback they changed the barrel, still was bad , I assumed it was the holes in the receiver, bought the burris rings with the plastic inserts , put 10 moa to one side and we were good to go.

I have the ET6245FG, and it's my favorite scope (my others are Leupold Vari X III and Mark 4, Sightron S3, Weaver Tactical mil/mil, and Burris XTR).

I've have 2 of the 6-24x50 with g2 and 2 of the 3.5-21 dmr with g2 - best scope for the money as far as I'm concerned. Been running them out to 1100 and back for a few years now and they still track perfectly.
