Bushing dies necessary or not

I have just started loading rounds for my 6br and i have been turning my brass down to a neck thickness of .010. Do I need a bushing die to properly size the neck since the O.D. is now smaller (unturned brass is measuring around .013) or will the redding neck sizing die i already have work. Thanks for all the help

O.K., gotcha now. Two of my 6BR's are also .265" chamber neck's and I also outside neck turn to .010", for a loaded round neck diameter of .263". I'm using a .262" bushing, (ident stamped as .262"), but really sizes down to .2615". Bullet pull is fine with that bushing, I'm using the Redding Type S FL neck bushing die, and do not use the expander or de-capping pin. Your bushing should be sizing the neck approx. .002" smaller than your loaded round neck diameter.

There is a good chance that your Redding Neck Die will work. Take one of your Neck Turned cases which has the neck expanded close to the bullet dia from the neck turning operation. Take the primer de-capped stem out of the neck sizing die and see if the neck sizing neck will down size the neck of your neck turned case. If the case neck fits into the neck die then the neck if the neck die is to large and you need a bushing die. I am betting that the die you have will work. That is it will downsize your neck some and you may not even need the expander.

Good point i will try the neck die first and see what it resizes the case to or if it resizes it at all. Thanks for the help
