Burris Sig Z ring question

How do I position the inserts to add the most elevation for my scope? I have the 30mm version which comes with "0" inserts and "10" inserts.

I also have a EGW 20 MOA base too. I need all the elevation I can to shoot to 1000 yards

Thanks

** I have a SIII 10-50 and I am 2 MOA off of max travel at 1000 yards

your base should be installed higher in the rear . you want the scope objective tipped more downward . so you want to put the -010 in the lower front ring , and the +010 in the upper front cap . the rear ring you want the +010 in the lower ring , and the -010 in the rear cap .

the inserts are made to be used in pairs. Put the +10 on the back ring on the bottom, then the - 10 on top. Or the other way in the front ring.

Good video on the Burris site explains the system and how to use it.

I am going to add this,I simply love these rings as they leave no real marks on the scope. If the scope see's alot of direct sunlight the finish on some scope's fades slightly and when removed it will look darker where the ring sat.It is way better than scratch'e from steel and aluminum rings. You will like these alot.

I have this set up and 20 moa base with Sightron 10-50x. Shooting 185 Lrbt and Varget I have about 7 moa elevation left. Seems like I should have more left than that?

I have a set of signature zee rings, extra high 30mm to be exact. The rings themselves are messed up as in one is shorter than the other. If you think you should have more travel than you do, try switching rings front to back and try again. I couldn't find a measurable difference in my rings but it is there somewhere. I replaced them with Nightforce ultra lights and everything is fine. I got a bad set, maybe you did too.
