Burris replacement ?

Link

Silver $$ Contributor
Well as stated in another post, I sent my Signature 8x32x44 ? in for warrantee and they broke it.
Now they say they will replace it. The problem is I don't see any scopes that they have that has the magnification that I want. They told me that they would call me back and TELL me what they will replace it with. My scope looked like new however it had bubbles on the inside lenses. As we know they don't make the Signature or the Black Diamond any longer.

What to do? Ideas, Advice.

thanks Link

If they don't offer anything that you can use, then take the most expensive model offered. Leave it sealed in the box and put it up for sale NIB, and take the proceeds and put them towards what you need to replace the broken scope. I realize you may be looking for scope advise on the Burris line, but I have no knowledge of their scopes.

Thats sad...the 8-32x44 signatures are some of the best scopes made at that time and still are very good IMHO. Hope you are able to replace it...I think kimble has the right idea.
Best Wishes

I dont know what idiot is running that company but they dropped all the hunting scopes in lew of tactical so they could raise their price's.The fullfield while made in the philipine's isnt half bad but for a company to send all their designs there to be made is totally foolish as far as quality goes. I just got my 3-12 pistol scope a couple weeks ago and the price was more than it used to be,low and behold,it is made in the philipine's.To say I am unhappy is an understatement. I am done with them.

I think the Idea of leaving the scope packaged and selling to help purchase something better suited is a good plan. I like jonbearman are disappointed where Burris has taken there scope line..I have a 8-32 Black diamond and love the glass..I do like the Burris E1 full field but I never understand how companies charge the same or more after importing everything..I believe Beretta owns Steiner and they are who is running Burris optics now..I think they still have the Xtr (looks like a Black diamond hold over) made in the USA but only a 24x max power, resale should be okay though.
