Burris BTH 50 thermal

Nice video. I received the BTH 35. I got to test it out last night. No video yet but it was quite impressive compared to my Armasite Zeus 640 x 70mm. I could easily identify a couple rabbits hopping around by my brush pile at 160 yds with both.
Just some information to help anyone trying to make decisions

Good morning,

Due to the recoil harmonics AR-10 calibers will cause that. Bolt actions are ok up to 50 BMG however semi auto calibers in the AR-10 range will cause the shutters to stick.

We would recommend going down to an AR-15 with less recoil vibrations or a bolt action.

Thank you and have a great day.

Best Regards,

The above is a good reason to pass on a Burris unit, can't guarantee it to work with recoil....pffftt.
Get a Adder ts-35-384, bout $2500, worlds better than a Burris.
I've taken Burris of my stove for good.
Pal just got the ts35, boy that's one nice thermal, shot recording, etc.
Can spot 1000yds easy, id at 500 easy.

An army-sniper buddy used a clip-on Flir in Afghanistan, and favors the clip-ons. Based on that I picked up a krypton, and couldn't be happier. Showed it to him last night and he likes it. It picks up mice at over 250 yards. It showed the heart location on a broadside deer at 150. No need to re-zero. Can easily slip it off the day scope if desired, but not really necessary.
