Burris Black Diamond

My previous experience with an 8-32x 2005 model was that it was a nice scope, but the side-focus was too small in diam and too sloppy in feel. Also I felt the reticle was on the thick side for target use. Most Black Diamond owners I know have been happy and Burris offers a very good warranty.

I note that in 2006 Burris added a fine plex reticle to the 6-24 and 8-32. I still think the side focus could be upgraded however.

I have a Black Diamond 8-32 fine plex, the side focus changes from the recoil of a 6 Dasher. I thought it would different than my .243 but it isn't. I think if you are shooting mostly coyotes it's the scope to have. If I slamed a rock with a Nightforce it probably wouldn't matter because I'd have a heart attack and die. The Burris on the other hand can be easily replaced or repaired and is really clear at the lower powers.
If you are in need of a really good high powered scope that is very practical, my favorite is the Weaver T-36.
