burn chart?

Burn rate charts vary considerably. I have shot MANY, MANY powders and when that happens, you develop your own chart so to speak. However, since you are not asking for mine, the one closest to my experience is the Hodgdon chart. You can Google it by asking for "Hodgdon Powder Burn Rate Chart".. It will take you right to it..

Be very careful/Leary about using burn rate charts, they are for very rough examples, that’s it! ::)
Google "Powder burn rate charts" and as "Changeling" stated they are for Est's only AND be ready to get frustrated because
because one will show powders in a certain order , and a 2nd chart will show the same powders in a different order.
Like loading manuals , they are for a reference point.

VV/Lapua has one on their site that I like the format of, it shows a better comparison of powders as apposed to a linear list but it's still a burn chart and one should be leery of it.

Another good char to look at it the volume per weight chart of certain powders, helps you figure out what powder may give you optimum case fill.

This one is interesting. The thing is, I have not found an "all-encompassing" chart. While one or two have the new IMR offerings it isn't complete for Alliant, etc.

The current Hodgdon rate chart in their latest reloading manual is the 1st one I've seen that lists Alliant Reloder 17, but it doesn't show AR Comp, Power Pro 2000MR, Reloder 23 or 26, etc. I'm not surprised that RL 23/26 aren't shown yet, as they're very recent numbers; but 2000MR has been around for several years now....

In my experience of using PP 2000MR in .308 i would say the burn rate is between Varget and H4350.....Never shot the other powders you have mentioned but heard that AR Comp is faster burning than Varget and closer to IMR 8208 but thats just what i heard.

Thank you gentlemen for the help, and cautions. Always error on the conservative side. Safety first, always. Again, thanks for the replies.

I made a burn rate chart from what QL uses for it's burn rates etc,
made it in the XL program,

BUT I can't figure out how to load it to this site.

After several tries, I gave up. >:(
