Bumps Causing Classifieds to Lose Usefulness?

the big problem is that folks fail to put the red sold button or say that it is sold in the ad headline.. i for one am and i am sure that there are others whom are tired of clicking on an ad thinking that the item is still available then finding out that it is solsold.

To me I wish you could not even list an item without a banner, Selling, wanted, Sold. The most juvenile thing I've seen is understanding how to use the green selling banner, and being to disrespectful to then use the red sold banner when you have accepted a deal.

I also think it is extremely rude when sellers and those looking for something bump their item more than once a day. Some bump 4 or 5 times a day.

But the thing that makes me refuse to reply to a want add, or a seller, is when there from those that only use this forum for a personal market forum! I agree with others that think regaurdless how much you donate, you should have to be an active user that contributes to the forum to use the classifieds, buying or selling!

I've watched this closely, and the BS I mentioned above, I've seen is vastly done by new users, less than 2 or 3 years, and older members that seldom offer to any forum other than the marketplace. I refuse to deal with them.

But for Pete sake, if your not a shooter, and have nothing to offer but buying and selling, then you could at least use the sold banner for items your offering, and a red banner once you have benefited from the market place forum freely! Sadly, it's to much to ask from some!

Those looking for something, should be deleted if they can't let that be known without opening the post.

A simple mandate that a proper banner be used for every thread would go a long way towards cleaning up the irresponsible use of the market place,,,,, JMO!

The Colored Thread Icons ("Selling", "Wanted", "Sold") are for Gold and Silver upgraded members only.
If you have not paid for an upgrade you cannot add these to your Classifieds threads.

just wanted to remind everyone these are only available to silver and gold members but it don't keep any one from editing thread title to include sold,,,,

Sitting here sippin a beer I had a thought....
Say someone was to go and start bumping sales adds starting with 1 and ending on the last page, then the 1st bump would be last and the very last bump will now be 1st.

If you have made multiple bumps to your posting, when Bumping your post, just DELETE the previous BUMP you made earlier.
Keep it clean.

Just my .02

To me, it is still a bump but is also to make multiple bumps and hide that you are doing. Sounds like cheating the system.

No, sir. On THIS forum, you can delete all your threads behind yourself. So, the BEST solution is to just unalive the thread.

Forum Boss: Thread Deletion is RESTRICTED for non-upgraded members. This is because the thread must stay in database to be counted.

**races off to delete all his threads before Doc can search**. :D
