Bullseye Target Camera System

Was browsing a High Power shooting site yesterday, and found a thread there about a remote target camera system that looks pretty good. It comes in two versions, one suitable for distances out to 500yds, and the other out to 1000yds. The 1000yd version costs $100 more than the 500yd one, and is priced at $549. Looks like it comes in a well-made foam padded case, and includes everything needed to get set up & running.

What really caught my eye, however, was the software package that's included. It will mark the most recent shot fired, and there are various other options that sound pretty neat. The link takes you to the company's website. I'm particularly interested in this set-up, and would really appreciate feedback from anyone who's either got one, or seen one in operation. There were a couple of guys on the National Match Competition site with them, and they both seemed pretty pleased with theirs.

I have a Bullseye 1,000 yd system, and posted about it over on Benchrest Central. I bought this system because of one of the reviews and positive comments there. Here is my post on that site about this system.

Guy's,
Because of this thread I took a hard look at Bullseye. After looking around I decided to order one of there 1,000 yard systems. Placed the order and received the package in 4 days. It was raining so I set it up in the house and it worked great from 30 feet. Later that day I was able to set it up at 1,000 yards in my neighbor's oat field, man was I impressed the camera worked without a fault, and the soft ware after I got the idea thru my thick skull was a snap even for this old man.

I then was loading it back into the case ( it comes with its own handy carring case) and got everything squared away except for the "Booster" antenna which goes in last. Snapped that puppy right into two pieces, don't have a clue how I did it but these big ole hands of mine or not for delicate work I guess. I then dropped the router and the cover snapped off, just wasn't my day.

Called Bullseye and explained to them what I had done and needed to order the Booster Antenna and a new router. Now understand I made myself clear that this was "NOT" there fault it was mine and mine alone. I fully expected to pay for what "I" had broken. Well they weren't having any of it and shipped me new parts free, and I received them today with enough light to go and shoot.

Camera system worked just like they say it will, so simple that even i can do this. cannot tell you how nice it is to have feedback from the target at distance ( today I shot at 700 yds).

Folks, if you are in need of a camera system I will Highly Recommend Bullseye. There customer service went way beyond what it should have and the product itself is just great.

Thanks Bullseye !!!

I now have used this system several times and it's is only getting better. A couple of things I would add. The system "is not a video" of the target. It is a still shot of the target, after each shot I push the enter button and it displays the new shot with the new bullet hole on the target. This new "Hole" then flashes telling you were your last shot went. It does not matter how many shots you have on the target it will flash the new hole weather it is the 1st or the 20th shot. I personally like this system many times better than the video systems guys are putting together. It also is very simple to set up, no battery packs, no monitor persay just your lap top. Also the only thing that goes with you to the line is the lap top, nothing else, everything else stays at the target on your bi pod. Very simple.

Dennis,
What I'm most interested in using this system for would be to set up my full-face MR-1 & LR NRA HP targets at 600 & 1000yds respectively, then use the system to track 22rds (2 sighters & 20 shots for record), just like an actual match. Given fresh target faces on good, flat backers, do you believe it'd provide good feedback at these distances? I shoot alone most of the time here on my own range; if this thing works like I'm hoping it will, it would allow me to shoot practice matches on a range without pits & a helper to pull the target after each shot.

Roland,
Your post popped up just as I was replying to Dennis' post. Thanks for the feedback - I didn't even think about checking for information on BRCentral, but will pop over there and review the thread. Sounds like just what I've been looking for!
