Bullseye Camera Issues

Any of you have one of these? Have you had any problems setting it up?

I have been having nothing but trouble. Upon firing up it worked fine in the garage. After that I was unable to reliably connect to the camera. It seems as if router or IP camera settings are messed up.
I did get it to connect a couple of times but with my 1000 yard system I was not able to go past 300 yards reliably and it took longer to reconnect. I have tried several computers and reset after reset with no success.

If any of you have any computer skills feel free to PM. The system shows up under my wifi connections but no luck connecting to the camera and the software cannot find it either.

Thanks.

If you have a problem give them a call Tel: 541-357-7035 or e-mail them at support@bullseyecamera.com They are very helpful.
Remember you have to have good line of sight between the target antenna and the laptop receiver.
What is the signal strength reading?

Larry Bartholome

Yes, but due to a back/leg problem I have not be able to get to the range to wring it out yet. They are very nice to deal with.

I am setting it up in the desert with zero signs of life or interference. It has been a pain to get working. 300-400 yards and that is sometimes. Just received it and have been playing with it without success on different computers. The signal fades out quickly! I may need to play with router and ip camera settings but not sure what the factory settings should be.
Anybody tweaked with settings?

Signal strength at 300-400 yards is about 50% or a tad less and drops rapidly to 25% at 500-600 a not usable at those distances.

I have also emailed them but it's the weekend so I do not expect an answer until tomorrow.

I had no problems with my system at 600yds. The problem for me lies in finding some sort of anti-reflective screen to use on my laptop's display. I don't have any covered points on my range, and have been very frustrated with not being able to see the display without getting out of position to try to shield the screen from reflected glare.

That is definitely a problem with the current glossy screens! The best solution would be to get the program running on a phone since they are easier to see and manipulate.

At 600 yards are you shooting at a black NRA bull?
Just wondering how it depicts the holes on a black target.

Update: I was contacted via email last night from Nick at bullseye and I should get a call today.

Use a milk crate (or something), set your laptop on top of it, and tilt the screen down towards you (hooded):

The picture shows a covered firing point, but it works equally well on the uncovered berms. I can see my screen and watch the shot get marked without moving my head.

There are some great and cheap little computer "hoods" that will shield the screen from glare - you can find them on Amazon, etc.
