Bulletseeker Mach 4 Doppler Chronograph (LabRadar Killer?)

Anyone seen this new, at least I believe it is new, may have been out in Europe for some time. Looks to be very good, more expensive than the Labradar but after you add the bipod, battery, sight, etc to the LabRadar it may be a wash at $780 on sale, looks like $814 regular price.

Now I own the LabRadar and have had pretty good luck with it. But I hate the size of it and having to use the battery pack and well all the stuff that I have added to it including the trigger to make it fool proof.

What I like about this Mach 4 is the compact nature, it uses your phone or pad for display and seems to work well at least on the video. I only just came across the video below and know nothing else about it.

Here is the link to their website:https://www.solidsolutiondesigns.com/product/bulletseeker-ballistic-radar/

Here is the Youtuber that I found it on. Don't know anything more about it but I like the design.

EDIT: Wrong URL on Bulletseeker Mach 4 manufacturers website.

We're sorry, but the page you were referring to couldn't be found. The page may have been deleted, renamed, or temporarily unavailable.

Then the YouTuber tapes it on his gun...I'll stick with my LabRadar....LOL

Thanks, I must have grabbed the wrong URL. I have corrected it now.

Accuracy of MVs to real world?
Good question. Did not look to find any comparisons with the LabRadar. Based on the video, the shooter, not knowing what, if any affiliation he has with the seller, seem to indicate it was displaying expected MV's. But who knows.

The biggest thing, assuming it is accurate, is the size and interface.

When I received my LabRadar, I immediately tested it against my Oehler 35P.
The results were surprisingly very close.

It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
The size is a definite plus.
It has a similar velocity limit as the LabRadar.

I would seriously be in for one of these , one thing I definitely don't like his I think it has a built-in battery that and on their website the only mention of backup is Europe

The high frequency of operation is a significant advantage - it allows the use of a smaller antenna and is more strongly reflected by objects the size of a bullet. I'll be following this closely; I own a Labradar, but I'm open to improvements in the state of the art.

For professionals, i.e., snipers, ELR competitors, powder and bullet manufacturers, etc., it's a wash and no more than background noise. For the average shooter, reloader, etc., - - - - OMG! Competition is supposed to bring the cost down - PLEASE, PLEASE... I guess my Chrony will have to last a few more years.

I like the improvement on the size. Competition among products can only benefit the consumer. I am still not ready to get rid of my ProChrono and Magnetospeed sporter but products that can be mounted on the rail such as this and the Andiscan II have got me thinking hard about it

I certainly like that it doesn't have to be forward of the muzzle. How many threads have you read where someone shot their prochrony, or magnetospeed. And it doesn't hang on the barrel either. I'm not going to be spending that kind of money but if I needed a new chronograph this would be on the short list.

If this had been available here several years ago when I purchased a LabRadar, it potentially would have been a strong contender. But it wasn't, so it wasn't. I can't imagine all the folks that already own LabRadars are going to rush out and buy one of these now.

until these new models get onto Midway, Creedmoore Sports, Brownells etc I don't see them selling many outside Europe. That said once they do I don't see many more Labradar's being sold. Labradar really needs to finally update their products. If Caldwell gets their unit on the market this year at under $500 that will be the final nail for Labradar

I’m testing one now as I do most of my load dev in a tunnel range and the Labradar is not reliable in a tunnel.
So far very impressed with it and am selling my LR to a friend
Question. How does it trigger? Is the beam just on so it picks up the bullet? Wondering if you can set it to the side of the gun like a labradar and still pick up shots?

Thanks
Bart

I was wondering the same thing. Does it have to be attached to the rifle & aligned with the barrel a certain distance away from the muzzle? Hopefully you could mount it on a table-top tripod or attach it to your shooting rest for alignment. Glad to see the bullet radar technology improving/moving forward.
