I grew up under the flight paths of some of the USMC's finest flying squadrons, A4's, A6's, AV-8's, and my all time favorite, the F-4 Phantom II. Holy crap, those things are LOUD!

My high school was directly under the south approach for MCAS El Toro and every year we loved watching all the planes fly in for the air show. Had a C-5 come over one year that felt so close I could count rivets. Gone are those days.
