bullets for a 1 in 10 twist

I have a 6br with a 1 in 10 twiest barrel. Will this twist shoot 65 and 68 grain match bullets or will I have to use 85 gr or heavier bullets to get the best out of this barrel?

Ken

Ken, I've got a 10 twist 6br and have shot from 65 to 90 and found a load with'em. I started out shooting the berger 71bt's and then they quit making'em. Had to find something else and tried the 90's and it shot as good or better so thats all I'v shot sence.
I think a 10 twist ain't a bad thing in a 6br...

You should be able to shoot the 68 gr Match bullets with that twist. But your rifle will be the final judge if she likes them or not. My 6mmbr is 1:8 and "should" like the 105 - 107's. But as it turns out, she loves 68 gr Bart's FB Ultras the best.

You should be able to stabilize up to a 100gr bullet & up to 95vld's...
This depends whether the brl is an actual 10tw (cut-rifled are near exact, but with
button-rifled that exactitude can vary)
Check your twist manually...running on the edge of stability has it's merits & also a
downside.

BIB 95 grain fb and berger 87 grain vld's work in my 10tw, but you should not have stability issues with the lighter bullets either.
