Bullet wt. for 200 meter shooting ?

OK, so here come the barrage of new hand loader questions. I have done my research on barrel twist vs. bullet weight and have a pretty good understanding, but how does distance factor in to the selection of bullet weight ? So here's my combos and would like your suggestions on what weight to start with :

.308 26" heavy varmint barrel 1-12" twist 200 meter target

.223 24" AR-15 barrel 1-9" twist. 200 meter target

thanks in advance !

Any quality bullet will shoot well out to 200M. The quest is finding the right one. In 308, the 150-155 or 168 bullets will work just fine with your 12 twist.

On your 223, stick to mag length bullets, stay with the 68-69g bullets for your 9 twist. All of the manufacturers will have one.

OK Clam,
IMHO 115 gr Berger FB Target or Nosler-Sierra- Hornady 110gr varmint bullets and for the AR..Nosler 55gr Varmegeddon or Berger 53gr FB Target At only 200m you can really group well with the lighter bullets. good luck on your quest keep up updated and keep asking questions.
Cheers,
Doc

I'd go 155 or 168 smk or nosler in the 308 and 68-69 in 223. I shoot 175 In my 308 but have a bunch of 155 to go to when I'm out

The 155 Nosler custom competition shoot really well for me in 30 cal.
For the AR 9 twist the 69 Sierra Match King is really accurate with Varget powder.
