bullet weight and twist

I have just removed a 12 twist from my 243 AI and replaced it with a 13 twist,will the 13 twist be OK with 80gr bullets ??
the 13 twist was put on as I didnt have to wait for a barrel.or would it be better with 70/75 gr

I think all reputable custom barrel makers have a recommended twist rate vs. bullet weight (length) list on their web sites. If yours does not--you might want to look at the one on the Shilen site.

I think so...my 14 twist BR will shoot "some" 80 gr bullets that are flat base (not BT's).....a 13 shuld do fine....you just gota try em.....Berger 80's work best in mine....Roger
