Bullet speed vs Barrel

Can anyone give me some input here plse, I have a 6BR, and after quite a few rounds, found the sweetspot for the 95gr VLD's. Now my question would be- if I want to load 87gr Hornady's( for instance) should I go after the same speed I achieved for the 95'ers, to get a similar sweetspot for the 87'ers? Thus the question is, how does a barrel react to different bullets/weights- is it the speed and harmonics it receives, or what makes a barrel happy with a particular load? ??? ???

What is your twist rate? Heavier bullets require a faster twist rate verses lighter bullets require, but not always, a slower twist rate.

bootlaceb. Yes, try to get the same velocity so that the bullet leaves the barrel at the same part of its vibration cycle, maybe only drop .2gn powder charge . No harm in shooting a tad shorter bullet, all that will happen is that it will be more stable.

The 95gr. load has no bearing on others. The 87 gr. sweetspot will be unique to that bullet and powder.....accuracy load will be whatever it is. Different powder, even different bullets of the same weight, can give different results. Don't get too carried away trying to overthink this stuff.
