Sorting bullets is a step I will add to my reloading process in an effort to shrink groups.
Question for those of you who sort bullets for medium and long range.
What do you do first, sort by CBTO or weight?
I've done a good bit of research and haven't found the answer to my question. I believe minor differences in CBTO can have a greater effect on accuracy over minor differences in weight.
What I'm planning on doing is going through 2,000 bullets of the same lot and sort by CBTO. Once in seperate groups I'll weigh them and divide them up even more. Bullets that are the most consistent will be used for score. All others will be used for fowlers, sighters, and practice.
Bullets are 105 Hybrids used in a Dasher.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Good Shooting.
