I have no plans on casting bullets...... just putting jackets on a hunk of lead.....sounds easy when you say it that way.My next cast bullets are not going to be pure lead. I have some pewter t melt and the Tin in the pewter is supposed to make my bullets not have wrinkles. Casting I think has a bigger learning curve than reloading did.
Don’t tell me that.I understand that making jacketed bullets makes casting look simple
Sorry but maybe 10% of handloaders cast at least some bullets. I'd say less than 1/10% ever try swaging jacketed bullets. I've known just one who did. The dies alone to swage just one type of the jacketed .223 bullets I mentioned earlier cost north of $1500.Don’t tell me that.

I would have to build a new shop to store them in!Mark summed it up well.
When you order your dies, purchase/order a "life-time supply" of quality jackets, and enough lead to use them up.RG
You probably won't need a Hydropress quite yet either lol but I gotta say this direction you are heading is very intriguing.I would have to build a new shop to store them in!
Maybe I’ll just order a decade or so’s worth.
