Bullet depth Seating Depth Gauge Vendor?

I have the Hornaday depth seating gauge. I use it religiously and I get inconsistent measurements for the same rifle and bullet.
I seem to recall that a vendor on this site had a different version than Hornaday that it claimed was more accurate and easier to use.

Can you help identify this product?

Are you talking about the comparator , Sinclare has one in SS measures the shoulder . I don't know if it's any better . I have both but I like the RCBS Precision Mic ,a completely different system . I think it's what you feel most comfortable with , they are all accurate when you know how to use them properly.

I did not find it easier in my hands or more repeatable than the Hornady system. You may have different findings. I use the stripped bolt and feel method. My LTL gauge stays in the box.

It is a well made device however.

Thank, it was the LTL gauge that I was thinking of.
Anyone else had experience with the LTL?

I haven't found a method better then the stripped bolt method in finding case headspace and ogive measurements .
