Bullet coating service

Is there really a demand? With some company's not offering moly or HBN and some moly bullets being $45-50 more than naked per 500, I've been coating for fellow shooters at half the rate. $20 per 500. I can do moly or HBN. I figured with winter loading coming around for everyone and most people not wanting to deal with the mess it would be a good time to get everything coated. If anyone is interested I have a good system that I believe works great and very fast turn around times. Give me a call Cody Richardson (502)-751-2405 or PM

Very interested! Especially at those rates. But to make it even more of a bargain let me stock up in several calibers before shipping them out to you!

With some coatings being a high dollar investment and more equipment to store, this would allow this shooter to have a low cost to see if each coating would work well in their rifle.

I've approached some buddies who might send in with me to save on shipping. We'll see how they respond ;) Oh, and I'd be interested in HBN - I can't really speak for my family and friends about their preference

Hey the more the merrier! My HBN coatings are very clean and not clumpy. It seems more and more people are interested in HBN than Moly I might have to restock in HBN

If you are going to have to order bullets to have coated why not just order and have them shipped to this gentleman and get them coated.

That would save some time, probably not important, but would save one shipping charge.

Well, some of the bullets I already have at the house, and I'm ordering from different sources. Deals from various members here as well as other online businesses.

Not to rain on the parade but I was able to "gear up" for about $100 bucks to be able to moly coat 10-15k bullets. If you don't want to do it yourself, use Cody - he's obviously motivated and people tend to be good at what they're motivated to do. But it's not rocket science. A rock tumbler, steel shot, moly powder and you're basically good to go.

That's the thing, I've either had people say yea do it I hate the mess or no it's easy to do myself. I honestly want to to contact Sierra and see if I could bid to get there's. Tubb has done there's for years so I doubt that would happen.

One suggestion.. Advertise in local and not-so-local matches, clubs, etc. It's worth a shot (pun intended.) Got one shipment of 600 bullets in, but still waiting for more before shipping it your way Cody.

Ive been advertising locally and all the matches ive been to this year I spread the word as much as I could. Have you heard any more from the other shooters if they want in to save shipping?

Back when moly coating was taking the world head on another shooter and I ordered a kit from Midway to do it.

We recieved a quantity of moly and 2 tubs for the Midway tumbler. We both had Midway tumblers so we split it-the powder and tumblers.

I still have a good bit of moly-the other shooter?? Ill have to ask him next time we talk. I retired so I dont see him so often anymore.

Cody, might be interested in some Hbn coatings, happenned to do a search today on the Boron nitride powder and found that there are actually two forms of this, a 'cubic' and a hexagon form. And they are very, very different in applications, the cubic form being used as a blasting media, second ( or " inferior " ) only to diamonds in hardness.
Will get back on coating some bullets I have.

Signut, I have been using the hexagonal HBN for guys, I have tried HBN compared to Moly but I am still on the Moly train. Maybe one day when I get tierd of the mess ill switch over to HBN. You really cant beat coated bullets, best way ive heard it described, running a car at 90 MPH with 2700rpm compared to 3000rpm.
