Shout out to Tim Straus at Bullet Central.
Backstory: went on the site last night, and lo and behold it had the Bergers I was looking for. Loaded them in my cart but didn't check out. Woke this morn to a message that my cart was waiting, and when I tried to complete my order I got an error message about my account password. Tried to re-set but was not successful. Thought what the heck and phoned. Tim answered (now that's what customer service is all about!). We noodled around a bit without resolving the internet problem. So he took my order over the phone, ran it through the system, and stayed on the phone until I had an order confirmation e-mail.
These days, and any days for that matter, there aren't a whole lot of companies that do what Tim did today. We have all come to expect and accept customer service that is often less than stellar as a fact of life - demand is up and the people available to service the demand are fewer for a myriad of reasons. We share war stories of poor service, but fail to commend above and beyond service, regardless of the times.
So to you, Tim, thank you. You made my day a brighter one, and have a loyal customer who will look to Bullet Central as a primary resource in the future.
