Bullet Casters Must Have Book!

I recently joined the "Cast Bullet Association" as I've discovered the great hobby of casting my own bullets for long range "Buffalo Shoots" and Cowboy Action Shooting.

The CBA offers a fantastic book, 496 pages, mostly prepared by members, on absolutely everything you'd ever want to know and more about bullet casting.

Other than being a member, I have no affiliation with the organization. I just thought I'd pass on a fantastic resource.

When I joined the NRA in 1968, American Rifleman used to run some interesting cast bullet articles. The NRA published a Cast Bullet Handbook, sometime in the early '70s IIRC, which was a compliation of the best of these articles, several of which focused on then recent advances on bullet lube, heat treating, etc. It's still a valuable resource, even though it's been out of print for decades.

Since those days, it seems most advances in cast bullet methods & technology has been due to individuals' efforts; I'd be willing to bet the price of the CBA's book is worth more than the asking price. Thanks for posting.

I had a copy of the NRA cast bullet book. I gave it to someone for free. I see it for sale on Amazon for about $55. It's considered a collectors item.

That looks like a great compilation. Thanks for sharing. I don't do much casting anymore since the local indoor range requires their ammo to be purchased. The old Lyman manual was such a "bible" to many folks in the days of yore.
