Bullet base to ogive ?

I'm sure it's on here somewhere but I can't find it. Will some of you guys post your common BULLET BASE to ogive measurements for 6mm bullets namely:

Hornady 75g vmax
Hornady 87g vmax
Berger 80g fb varmint
Berger 88g high bc varmint
Berger 87g vld hunting
Berger 95 g classic hunter

Thanks!

What point on the ogive? If we give you base to ogive measurements using our tools it might not translate to your tools since the tools might be different.

not only are tools different but lot to lot of the same bullet will vary as the MFg have tolerances. and you will the bullet of the same mfg/design of different LOT that vary base to Oj

bob

White Feather, there is your answer, not really, what you have is all the reasons why it can not be done.

The 6mm/243 bullet measures .243", then there are all the variations and the reason reloaders can not give a straight answer.

The barrel has 2 diameters, one is .234" and the other is .237. And then there is a tapper that is 1.5 degrees. The taper give you two diameters. When measuring to the lands, off the lands and beyond the lands I use .237" for the 6mm/.243. When finding the lands I drill the flash hole/primer pocket out on a fired case, I then neck size the case for bullet hold then I remove the bolt and chamber the test case. After chambering the test case I use a cleaning rod to push the bullet out of the case until it contacts the rifling, I imprint the bullet to the rifling.

After pushing the bullet out of the case until it contacts the rifling I can use it to adjust the seating die to .000 off the lands.

Or I can measure the bullet at the .237" datum to the case head:

I would use neck tension, problem, I do not have a neck tension gage. I have tension gages, all are calibrated to pounds.

Never seen or heard of a 6mm/243 barrel with a .234 bore diameter.
Typically the bores are .236 or .237 in diameter with .243 groove diameters.
