Hey Guys this may be the wrong forum but i'm interested in starting a tube gun project and need help getting started. any tips on a smith, caliber, products etc... would greatly be appreciated!!

Contact Gary Eliseo at: gotxring.com. Great guy to talk to and deal with. Beautiful tube chassis's. Follow the links tab on his home page. There's a long list of 'smiths that are well versed in tube stocks. When you call his shop, he's the one that answers 90% of the time. He always appears generous with his time and will answer all of your questions.

BTW, I'm only days away from getting my chassis.

I recently received two rifles build for me by Pierce Engineering on Gary Eliseo's chassis. I haven't even mounted a scope on my 6CM but the 308 is as close to a laser I'm going to get in my lifetime.

After receiving it I discovered that I needed a 40MOA rail instead of 20, so I called Gary and he said "Send them back I'll fix them for you." I asked "How much?" he said "Nothing, I want my customers to be happy with my work." I sent them to him and they were back at home all within a week.

Not only that, but the finish on those chassis is amazing. With Gary and Pierce it's tops all the way.

I have used several of Gary's chassis and will continue to!
Defiance mutant actions and Brux barrels. A few 6.5x47's but mostly 7mags.
Very accurate platform. Go for it!

Jim Borden also offers a purpose built action for tube guns. He'll also put the whole thing together for you too. E-mail him or give him a call, very nice folks to deal with.

Don't think you can do any wrong with a Pierce, Borden, Defiance and Eliseo himself.

Gary is moving his business to Arizona so you may have to be patient if you want to order a new chassis. I have seen complete tube guns for sale at Borden Rifles in the past. If you have contacts in the Phoenix area they are quite popular there so you might find somebody who has one for sale. If you are left handed there may be a single shot still available. Send me a PM.

Or, if you want something right now, I've got two Eliseo tubeguns - R5 & RTS - listed for sale on other forums. They're both built on Pierce TG actions, both have beautiful custom pistol grips of English walnut by Doan Trevor.

The R5 has two bolts - .378" & 473" boltfaces - and comes with a 30" Bartlein in med Palma contour, 1-7.2tw, chambered with a 223 Match reamer, and throated for 90 VLDs, plus a 28" Krieger in sendero contour, 1-8tw, chambered for 6BR. It's got a Jewell trigger, and is powder coated in OD-green/tan/black.

The RTS has a 28" Krieger sendero contour, 1-8tw, in 6.5x47; the chassis is anodized FDE, with the bbl'd action CeraKoted FDE. It's got a CG Extreme M22 trigger.

I built them both for XC HP matches, and have really enjoyed shooting them in that venue, but just don't get to enough matches anymore to justify keeping them. Besides that, I need some cash to buy another Kahles K624i AMR for my other practical steel rifle.

I was going to list them both for sale here, but haven't gotten around to figuring out what I need to do to reduce the size of my JPEG photo files to work on this site. Been too busy with farm work to spend much time working at it, but can e-mail photos if you're interested.
