Budget reloading 6BR

Looking to load 6BR for a 1-12 twist on the cheap. It will mainly be used for varmint hunting, 300yard benchrest and some 600 steel plate work. I’ve been looking at RCBS matchmaster bushing dies cause they are “budget friendly” and Norma brass. I’ve got plenty of Varget and CCI450. Any recommendations?

Personally, from past experience I would rather use either Wilson or Redding dies.

Redding Type S Match Die Set. Alpha and Peterson make good 6BR brass too.

May I ask what the issue with RCBS is?

I found the RCBS dies to be a much rougher surface mainly. Secondly, the adjustments are more friendly with a Redding Micrometer Seater die.

You didn't say what bullets you're going to try to use, but given that you're using a 12tw barrel, I'll assume you're going to use 80's or less. Based on that assumption I'd suggest you get some 8208, N133, or Benchmark to try also. JME. WD

My tip would be get any of the popular bullets in the 78 to 87 grn range and Accurate 2495 powder, (everybody has it at good prices),

108 eldm or Barnes 112 for outstanding budget bullets. Of course that needs an 8 twist.
