Yeah, I usually toss out the RCBS lock rings with alacrity... However figured it would be fine here because it should be a one time set and forget. All my future adjustments should be changing the .006" shim maybe up or down a few thou.Yea they work nice. Upgrade the locking nut to a split nut (hornady ect) makes fine depth adjustments simple. Seats primers easier than any hand / bench model. Also makes your a4 ram adjustable to match your other presses. Swap dies with no changes.

As Tyler above said.. Seat the primers long using your speedy seater of choice, and then you could finish seating later with the ram prime. Not sure if this would work at a match though as I've never been to one...For hunting or fun shooting it is OK, but how would you have time to do it at a match?
