We get the 'trued commercial vs. custom action' discussion here (and on most of the other shooting forums I frequent) all the time. The same points are made, because they're good points. If you're capable of truing your own actions on your own or a borrowed lathe, AND already have the action in hand, then by all means, do it. Otherwise, you'll never recoup the expense & time involved in paying someone else to do the work.
Regardless of the above, people still are willing to pay someone else to do the work to a factory M700, M70, etc. I know this to be true, because they pay me to do it for them, even though I counsel them to buy a Stiller, etc. instead. I don't argue with them, simply because it's a good way for me to make a little extra money, and I have the tools to do a decent job.
