budget bullet for 6br bench rest

I have always shot custom bullets 6br 1-8 t. I have never shot a production bullet SMK for example. Berger 90s show really well - 300 yds. I would like to know your experiences.

some other references

Mike Ezell shot some crazy good groups with the Berger 90 in a 6 Grendel last year.

I shot them in the second half of my GT barrel for a while, just to learn them, and got several groups in the .1s at 100 during load development.

I think it’s a real sleeper, and cheap when bought in 1,000 count boxes.

I know a REALLY stout PRS shooter, a dominant winner, shooting match burners, and I’m pretty confident calling that a .250 bullet in a well built BR. I know that’s not Benchrest quality by any means, but you did say production so that’s an option.

The Berger 105s/108s of any flavor are still the factory bullets to beat, but they’re going to cost you what hand pulled are most of the time, so I’d consider that counterproductive.

Berger 87 and 88 grs. Will make you happy .. Tommy Mc

Cheap? Try a Sierra 60 grain HP Varminter

Everything is going to be cheaper once the inflation reduction act kicks in;) but until then….. try automated Vapor Trails I’ve had real good results using them.

Just never - never ever try Hornady 75-grain VMax....

I want them all to myself!

Have always shot Berger 105s in my 6mm DASHER for F-Class rifle in serious matches. And more inclined to use the "hunting" version than the "hybrid".
