bucket list handgun

An original Colt Walker, if I ever get one ( highly unlikely) I would be done. Probably retreat into a lonely cave and address it as "My Precious". Followed by a wartime Sig P 210.
I know of one available. But the guy wants close to a million for it. It is serial numbered as one of the 10 in between the military production and civilian production.

Was at the range, and a buddy brought a client of his who had just bought a couple of guns from his father-in-law. New shooter, so didn't know much about them. One was a 1911 in a flap-covered leather holster. Clean, but very obviously used. The more I looked at it, the more struck me as not quite run-of-the-mill. Lanyard loop on the mainspring housing. Small ejection port with no ejection scallop. Military fixed sights. No scallop on the frame side at the trigger. Don't remember what else. I found a Colt serial number look-up online, and punched it in. The pistol was made in 1917. In addition to the pistol, he had 2 magazines and the GI holster (the mags each had lanyard loops - something I'd never seen before, that I can recall.) As far as he knew, they were passed down, not purchased. I advised him to oil it up and put it in his safe.

Gdad bought his 1911 in '17 as well. Carried in WWI as a flying officer in the Army Air corp. taking surveillance photos. It shoots great, although very limited usage, with lite loads of 231 and H&G 68's. I put maybe 50 rounds a year through it.

Don't have any bucket lists other than finishing another 1911(got a slew of handguns). This started as a stainless, "rough casting" from a cpl guys either working for Caspian or contracting to them,CRS? Bought it 10+ years ago on Practical Machinist forum. Got a series 70 government slide/barrel from a fantastic member here....NOS that is just too cool for school. Have most of the tooling and plenty of equipment, metrology, and patience. Got boxes of assorted 1911 parts so don't have to spend much more. Well, there's a few EGW goodies I'd like to get.

The S & W model 53 in .22 Jet with both cylinders. Had one at one time. A real pain to shoot as the fired cases would stick in the cylinder if there was any oil on them. Very noisy to shoot! They have also gone way up in price!!:(
