Up for sale only because I never get to shoot it and it should be with someone who can.
Remington 700 chambered in .243 Ackley Improved .271 neck (engraved on the barrel) chambered and blueprinted by Bryant Customs.
Blueprinted repeater action with a follower added by Mike Bryant. Pic rail came with the rifle, looks to be a 20 MOA.
McMillan Stock and Kreiger (if I'm remembering correctly) barrel likely a 1:8 twist but I can't be 100% certain (the cleaning rod method isn't accurate enough to tell between a 1:7.5 and a 1:8).
Jewell Trigger looks to be the HVR but I can take the rifle apart and take pictures for an interested buyer.
Barrel has some buildup in it but the rifle still functions and shoots well. I truthfully never shot it enough to really figure it out, other 6mm rounds grabbed my attention. I had plans to rebarrel it but never got around to it.
If you knew John Pruitt this was one of his rifles, I purchased it from him a couple years ago. If you knew him and wanted it I'd work with you. I'd love to see it with one of his friends.
$1000 plus shipping but includes dies and whatever brass I can find (you don't want the ones John sent me lol...they are 'well used') I think I have ~100 Lapua .243 once fired brass but can't be sure. I will firm this up with anyone interested in the rifle.
I'd like to sell as a package, I do not want to sell the trigger separately.
Dies are Redding bushing neck dies but the set includes a body die. Comes with whatever bushing is in there. I can swap out the Forster press die rings for the Redding rings if the buyer prefers.
Bipod is not included but if you have your heart set on it we can work something out.
Must ship to an FFL who accepts from an individual or add $40.
