WOW, I like Brux, but not this bad. Their straight blanks are not badly priced, and are great shooting barrels.

I don't think I will have any of these anytime soon.

I would hope that they priced the buy it now for the highest priced barrel. They do have a carbon wrapped one pictured. as I have bought LOTS of brux barrels and have always paid 300-350 depending on size caliber and specs.

Bought 3 Brux HV contour 17TW blanks last June for $945.00 shipped. $850 for 1 is ridiculous.

I pondered doing the same thing but usually these guys are living in an alternate universe and will come back with some sarcastic or snarky answer.
GB.com has some pretty outrageous prices. I saw one recently for five boxes of .17 Fireball (100 rds.) sold for $300
while it was available from Midway for $150. OUCH!

Would that be a stainless washer? If you welded on about 10 washers would it be the same as a tuner?

gee glad I bought my brux a year ago...I think I paid like 360.00 shipped...fluted is 110.00 more.
Well short story a guy had a rifle posted for 1695.00 I could buy I new one for 1350.00 so I sent him a message and asked why he wanted so much, was there something about the rifle ect ect. I offered him 1250.00 for it...I guess the guy had no clue...he called and found out yep I could buy a new one for 1350.00 so he sold me that one for 1250.00.
but yea these guys are smoking something.

Just for kicks...sent the guy a message asking why the high price. I guess their "proprietary" fluting runs $300. Then the retail cost of a barrel for $360, plus $20 shipping. On top of that, they take in consideration if you send them a blank, $20 to ship. $20 return shipping. Even on top that, they are adding in a cost for waiting for a new blank and 4 month wait for them to flue. Absolutely Ludacris highway robbery!
