Brux Barrels...

I never had a Brux and hear good stuff about them. Who all shoots Brux and how do they shoot. Is there any negative comments about them? Are all Brux 6mm blanks .236 bores? What are the pro/cons of a .236 bore compared to a .237? Please share constructive input.

I have had several, and they have all shot well. My last Brux .284 won me the Texas Long Range F-Class Championship. Nice guys to deal with also, and that's a hard combo to beat...

I have a 14 twist Brux on my Bat in 6PPC. Brux comes in both .236 and .237, Mine is a .236. I will say so far my Brux shoots great, I have shot in two local club matchs this year and both of them I have placed. (There are some very good shooters in this crowd!) (( 1st match I came in 3rd, second match I came in 2nd)) I have shot this club match for the last two years (7 match's a year) and this is the first time I have placed. (In this class) I would say that it shoots as good if not better than the couple of Krieger's I have. (All .236)

Mine gun will agg in the .2's all day long.

I have one in a 6.5mm. I'm getting more copper fouling than I cosider normal after 476 rounds. But having said that, I drive J4 jacketed bullets very hard and this bbl. will hold a 1/2 moa easily out to 1,000 yds. if I do my part.
I hope this helps,
LLoyd

I have a dasher barrel that Brux made and its a true hammer. i won a match with it this morning. It was shooting under .5" At 400 yards today! Im sold on them. Im going to have them make me a 8 twist 22cal barrel next i do believe, either that or a ppc 6mm 14 twist. One of the two. Lee

Positive feedback is a good sign!

Let me ask this question, If I order an 8 twist, will it be true and accurate 8 twist?

Hi guys, first post here, finally joined after lurking here way too long. Anyway as to Ridgeway's question, I want to add my 2 shiny pieces of copper. I have had 2 rifles rebarreled within the last 8 months. Both with Brux barrels. One a sporter style 24 inch .308 for my deer rifle, and the other my .300 RUM with a 28 inch fluted braked 1 in 10 twist heavy barrel. Both are stainless, both clean really well, both are tackdrivers and the best thing about Brux is their turnaround time from receipt of order to delivery to your smith. They are running about 8 weeks.
