Brux Barrels - Muzzle End

I don't have a lot of room on weight, so the preference is for the gunsmith to cut the chamber/cylinder end more than the muzzle end. What is the minimum amount to take off the muzzle end of a brux? I know some manufacturers say 1 inch, is that a good number or is 1/2" ok? I need to cut about 1-1.5 inches total for an ideal length.

1/2" may not be enough. Cut the 1" off the muzzle and make weight off the chamber end.
Yes, take one inch off the muzzle end, then any more off the chamber
end. How much straight before the taper starts ?? I made the mistake
on a barrel that was a Max varmint with 6 inches of straight. That cost
me too much weight and messed up my choice of optics.....Fluting is
another option to shave a little.
