Bruno's price increase

Has anyone else noticed the price increases on Bruno's website? They sure are marking stuff up a lot to not have anything in stock. Varget $176 for 8lb. CCI 450 $54.99.

After I saw your post J I pulled an invoice on some bullets I bought back on 12/18/12 and compared them with his current price. They are exactly the same. Varget and CCI-450s are one of the favorite combos with the bench rest guys. I suspect Bruno had to beg someone to get what he has. Absolutely no Varget to be had in my neck of the woods. Later! Frank

I drove up to his store in N Phoenix two weeks ago and bought 500 Berger 105 Hybrids for $30.xx per box. I thought that was a great price.

We need shops like Bruno's to stay in business and I for one will not deny them a profit.

I saw that his Hodgdon shipment made it in this past weekend. I don't think he has any Varget at any price right now.

Lester Bruno is one of the good guys. And like with the classifieds, if you don't like the prices don't buy(or complain) please. You could go buy from the "other guy" that has all you needs in stock.

Never said he was a bad guy, it's just funny no one else in the country got the memo yet to raise all there prices except for him. And there are plenty of places that sell powder as well. This could be the instance and I'm sure everyone will raise prices as this is becoming the good ol American way. Something gets in demand hell just double the price.

There are plenty of places that "sell" powder. Now find one that has what you want in stock. Much of what I'm looking for to support a new rifle I pick up this weekend is listed as "Out of stock, NO backorder", and I have the powder I need to load for it. No loaded ammo, no dies, no magazines, and I think I cleaned the dealer out of brass, as it's now listed as no backorder That's just the nature of the beast right now. Doesn't matter what they sell it for if it's not in stock and delivery to them is so far out/shaky that they're afraid to take back orders.... Lester Bruno is one of the good guys, and has bailed me out more than once with a necessary item I needed and I live 2500 miles from his shop, so he doesn't know me from Adam, he just treats us all well; if he raised the price, he had good and sufficient reason.

Well, I just checked his web site prices against my Bruno invoices of the last 6 months.......same price! Besides being a HOF shooter, Lester (and Amy) have been very good to deal with. Their inventory is quite large, and in many cases Lester is the ONLY place that stocks some of the limited competition shooting market items. Recently, I needed .218 brass, and Lester was the only supplier that had it.... at the same price as his cheapest competitor.
These posts usually come from someone who has never run a business and fail to realize just how time consuming and expensive it is just to keep in the black.
