Browning warranty

Would removing the top sight base and slide on your buckmark void your warranty? Just asking cause ain't no way I'm getting out all that packing grease with just the slide locked back

Im sure in the instruction book it will show you how to remove the slide. They wouldnt void your warranty for maintaining your firearm.

Instruction book says not to break it down that far, it states to take gun to gunsmith....
I just thought someone out there has dealt with them...

I dunno I do it when I clean mine. Only way to do it right. But if ya do it be prepared to cuss a bit.. It is a B I A T C H to get back together by yourself

If parts weren't damaged or modified how would they know also gun scrubber or brake cleaner can flush out a lot but you need to relube. How it affect the finish is another matter. Take it apart carefully.

i am not commenting directly because the last time I answered about cleaning a new gun the thread got canned because my answer wasn't approved by Browning.

So don't do ANYTHING that isn't in the book, and hire an attorney on retainer in case you need representation should you think for yourself.

Thanks guys! All these replies are better than none, one of my threads got removed also cause admin thought advise was not following brownings recommendations

It is possible to take down the pistol complete and clean what you want. The screw that tightens the barrel to frame has loctite and it's on tight. I have taken mine apart a couple of times. And I use the blue loctite for reassembly. I don't know how used your pistol is but I have had to replace the buffer due to failing, MidwayUSA sells them.

Well guys, its official, I'm totally happy with my buckmark, 500 rounds mixed ammo flawless, not 1 hiccup! 100 cci mini mag, 200 blazer, 200 golden bullet. Super accurate and I'm not that great of a shot, but man, cant wait to shoot some steel. Definitely getting a holster. I was really worried about shooting it without giving it a thorough cleaning, but I just ran a bore snake, got out as much of the packing grease as I could with a few Q-tips, then some Q-tips dipped in solvent, followed by dry Q-tips then I lube the rails and whatever I can see with the pistol flipped over, racked it about a hundred times and I was good to go
