Browning Set Trigger adjustment

I recently acquired a new Browning set trigger for use on an A Bolt Eclipse. This trigger was original equipment on the A Bolt Target and I'm guessing some of the Euro Bolts. I have been unable to find any adjustment instructions other than mention of a screw located behind the trigger accessible when the trigger is set. That screw has no affect on the primary trigger pull.
Anyone with experience and success in adjusting the primary trigger pull below 3.5 lbs I would appreciate your input.

There is a guy in Idaho that makes and Adjustable after market trigger for A bolts. Two screws one for creep, the other for over travel. Comes with its own spring.
Brownells use to sell them.

Have you tried pushing the trig forward to set it . If you messed with the screw you may have to go in each direction while trying to set it .

The trigger when set breaks at 10oz which I can live with. The unset trigger is breaking at 3.5-4 lbs. The trigger is functioning essentialy as it should other than having more pull weight than I would like.Browning is seemingly ultra paranoid about triggers. I can find no published info on this trigger even looking for European and UK sources. My experience with trying to get any help from customer service at Browning regarding triggers has been a no go. I was hoping to find someone with first hand experience tweaking this trigger. I'm a little hesitant to venture in to the unknown given I can't even locate an exploded parts diagram of the unit.

These are some notes I made back in 2010 about the ABolt target set trigger:

Screw behind trigger is for set trigger pre travel (sensitivity). Clockwise = less travel (more sensitive). Push trigger forward to get better access.

To adjust standard mode trigger, remove action from stock, remove leaf spring from front of trigger assembly, adjust by turning small screw under leaf spring. Clockwise = heavier, counterclockwise = lighter. Note that this adjustment screw only has 5 threads. OEM setting is full clockwise. Screw is flush with housing when set at 2,5 turns out.

I may have some pictures but to find them first.

Thanks, I took the plunge and disassembled the trigger group to enough of a degree to polish some of the binding components. I had puzzled out through trial and error the information you provided and still couldn't get the trigger in standard mode under 3.5lbs. I have some polishing to do and maybe a spring to substitute. I hope to get the primary to break at 2-2.5lbs and set at 6-8 oz.

Thanks again
