Browning aftermarket barrel

Does anyone make a drop in replacement barrel for a browning X- bolt short action? I’d like to just swap it out myself and not send it out to a gunsmith. Wanted to get a 10 twist for my 308. My thinking is I could run heavier bullets (180’s) for elk and deer then I could sell my 300WM which is pretty expensive for me to shoot at this time. I don’t think I’d take a shot past 600. Right now my 308 is a 12 twist and likes 150’s I tried 165’s and my groups opened up quiet a bit best I could get it was maybe 1.5 moa.

I've not seen drop in barrels on any of the manufactures' websites; maybe someone else has. A 12 twist .308 will stabilize almost any 180 gr. hunting bullet. Your accuracy problems with the 165 are not because of a lack of faster twist. It was THE twist for target .308 rifles when most used the 168 Sierra Matchking for 600 yd. shooting. Your accuracy problems with the 165 is simply a matter of matching up the bullet and powder that your rifle likes. Factory rifle barrels are far more picky than custom premium quality ones. If you are not a handloader, you may have to try out all the different brands to find out what your barrel likes, and count yourself lucky if you get a good match.
