Browning A-Bolt Trigger

My Mountain Ti trigger would not adjust lower than 4 lbs felt heavy and dragging.
I had a look for a replacement trigger as I have a Jewell trigger on my mod 70.
I removed the two screws holding the action to the stock well, three really removed the action / barrel from the stock.
Removed the small pin the trigger pivots on it just pushes out.
Found a spring similar diameter to the one fitted cut it to length put it in and replaced the trigger pin.
Hey presto 1.5 lb trigger pull sweet as you like.
Cost ?, one old pen spring.
Worked for me be careful.
Don't try this at home children. ;D

I did this. the next thing you can do is look up the moyers trigger, print off a picture and drop it off at a local machine shop and ask them to put the same grub screws in. cost me 10 dollars. Its still not even nearly the trigger I would like. The A-bolt target rifle comes with a single set trigger that I have been trying to get for nearly a year. I have emailed our importer, browning directly and a heap of companies that sell brownings about it and not one company has even bothered to write back.

First try the Timney A-bolt Spring Kit #602. The light spring gives about 2 - 2.5 lbs. and the other about 3 - 3.5 lbs. with very simple change (under 10 minutes). $24.95 at Timney. I've done 12 of these and all were easy and very satisfied customers.

Rifle Basic has a new single replacement spring that purports to provide a range of 1.5 - 3.5 lbs. their BRN_SPR at $19.95 ($17.99 at Midway USA). I've not yet tried this one.

Hi Fred
I used the spring out of a retractable ball point pen pen, cost zero no ink left in pen.
Trigger is a sweet 1.5 lbs.
A twenty minute job.
I'm a happy man ;D
