I've done many over the years. Unique action wrench and a couple of other things but not a big deal. If you're interested give me a call after Jan.1

Browning A bolts are investment cast actions. The early models were 20 tpi. Browning changed them to 32 tpi. Aledgedly they had some cracking issues. I have removed the barrels on several to install muzzle brakes. Never had an issue. I was told by a Browning engineer to lubricate the tenon well with grease and to not over torque it. About 50 foot pounds.

might sound crazy but i love the A bolt action... almost bought one a couple months ago with a shot barrel to have rebarreled... but i heard most smiths turn them away .. is this why? ... the ones you have rebarreled how did they shoot if you dont mind me asking?
OUCH!Mine has a 1-10 twist and shot the lower weighing bullets fair but of course I wasn't reloading then either.
I took the stock off for something and in a mad fit of spring cleaning my EX-wife threw it away while I was out of town without even mentioning it. So now I have just the barreled action. I like the action itself but want something a tad bit heavier contoured and slower twisted. Say a 26" med varmint 8 twist.
