Brownell's Sinclair F Class Bipod mount?

Picked one of these up recently brand new and I guess I'm getting old because for the life of me I can't figure out how to attach the bipod to the mount without it slipping off when I pick up the rifle? Duct Tape, zip ties?

Did all that and mounted it to the rifle. Then slide the bipod into to the base and it fits but there is no way to keep the bipod and the base mount together. When you pick up the rifle the bipod just falls out leaving the mount on the stud. It's either broke or I'm missing some parts. Oh well, I guess I'll give Brownells a call tomorrow.

I have since sold mine but by memory, if you have the elevation ajustable model, perhaps the elevation screw is turned out too far with no purchase on the threaded body portion. Causing to separate. If not adjustable version, I won't guess.
