Brownells 22LR ????

Just got an E-mail from Brownells saying.....22LR Is Back....Buy Now ...No Limit.....So I figured what the heck...Take a look....It's been a while since I bought 22LR ammo as I still have a bunch here....BUT...$65. for a 500 brick ?? Is that really what it's come to?

Cannot respond to that one offering in particular but do have recent experience. Stopped at a local gun shop in Ft. Meade, Fl a couple days ago. They did have a nice selection of ammo, including 22 rimfire.

From what I can tell after looking casually the past few years - that's what it's come to. Either there's nothing or there's something priced way up there. I bought nothing at that gun store.

Have you priced Ely/Lapua? try $17 for 50.... .13/per is a comparative bargain.

Saw the Brownells ad ,and thought what the heck. Also bought some Aquilla's at a local shop for 40.00 no limit. The owner did say they had a fire and didn't know about future supply.

I think the Brownell thing is for Norma 22 lr. Not cheap to start with.

With the current domestic 22LR shortages much is being imported. Imported from Europe costs more, plain and simple. Personnaly, I'd lean more toward European imports than those from Asia, if imported was all that was available.

The Norma ammo is a target ammo and although I have never used it I have heard it quite accurate.

The best buy I had lately was CCI SV at $50.00 a brick Plus PA tax. That was ammo that shoots OK out of my 22.

Rick, that is a little steep For Norma Tac. Maybe 5-10 $. I buy Remington bulk .22 ammo from my LGS for $30.00 out the door. I call him and when it comes in he puts it away for myself and others, then he calls and will give you about a week to pick it up.

The CCI SV ammo is coming more highly available around here anyhow and that is a very "Economy" target ammo. It was about $30 a brick before the shortages and now it goes for $50 a brick.RXDRNT

The Norma ammo is a target ammo and although I have never used it I have heard it quite accurate.

Not as accurate as you'd think.. I have two ricks and can't wait til it's gone.. The Federal stuff in the blue box shoots better imo. And the NORMA stuff is covered in grease or oil.. Annoying

Was straightening up in my gun room and found something hiding under some boxes a BRICK of RWS R50 22LR price $13.95 LOL.
