broken sears in jewell triggers

i have broken 2 sears in jewell trigger lately forming lapau brass 6mmbr to6mmbrx havent hadany problem before the other actions i used were panda &bat this action is a 700sa would appreciate some imput i am seating 105s hard into lands 30.5gr varget 205m primer 5th tension on bulletthanks in advance iknow someone else has had this also its getting expensive and taking valuable shooting time help would be greatly appreciated

Send them back and demand that they fix the problem,I did and got positive results.Takes about 2 weeks.

If you expand to the next larger caliber, and then form a false shoulder, the problem would probably disappear. Everything that I read suggests that seating into the lands, even with high neck tension, is not a reliable way to maintain headspace when blowing shoulders forward.

I had this exact problem as well (except only 1 sear). Talked with some folks at the range who do a lot of fireforming, and they said the violence of case expansion on the bolt slams the trigger bar, which is transmitted to the whole trigger. Changed triggers to the original Remington for all of my fireforming, and it worked fine...

I've not seen this but it makes sense.--Mike Ezell

ive had 1 out of 4 or 5 sutty primers thanks

If this is new brass, and you are getting 20-25% sooty primers, you are either too hot, or not keeping the cartridge head against the bolt. False shoulder method will eliminate the headspace issue, less powder will cure the other. I have formed about 500 6BRX using the false shoulder method along with jammed bullets and never smoked a primer, or split a neck. 105 AMAX, 30.0 gr. Varget, Wolf SRM for forming. Shoots very accurately at 600 yards. Got to remember to turn the knobs more aggressively though, as the load is slower than a BRX and more sensitive to wind.
