Broken jewell trigger

it's just that that's how these triggers break when you pierce one.

Buddy pierced a primer on Berger factory loads. Lapua brass, small rifle primers. Trigger was a trigger tech. Not sure what was specifically broken. Broke his trigger, though. Pierced primers breaking triggers isnt unique to jewel. That’s a lot of force being channeled into the trigger.

I broke a piece in my jewel recently due to a pierced primer. Call them up and they will be happy to fix it. As mention it will be ~$50. They get it done quick.

Where does it say in that first post that there was a blanked primer? Others talk about that further down in the thread, but it is nowhere to be found in the original post.

From the picture. That’s what looks like what caused the trigger failure. If you were there and know it’s not from that, then it’s just a straight mechanical failure. Either way, jewel will fix it. It’s man made, so anything man made is prone to failure.

Was the primer blanked? When I first heard about Jewell triggers breaking because of blanked primers. I took one apart and looked at it. That part that is broken in the picture is not the part I would expect to break.

I have to ask. What is a "blanked primer" please? I understand pierced primer but blanked is a new term to me.
