Broken jewell trigger

Guys,
What do you think of this? I was shocked. A friend and I were working on developing a load for his new barrel when the Jewell trigger stopped working. I removed the bolt and blew out the trigger with compressed air thinking some debris may have gotten into it, but it still would not cock. We took the stock off and found the firing pin block snapped in half. The metal granularity at the break looks like cast iron. Surely this piece would be made of quality steel, no? But if it was, it would not have broken.

Jewell will make it right. Tommy Mc.

Jewel is a quality outfit . Never heard of anyone having issues dealing with them over a defective parts problem . Give them a call .

Had one awhile back that just didn't feel right. Sent it back and Jewell replaced it in very reasonable time frame.

Jewell I'm sure will make good on your problem , they may have some defective triggers out there. When you cut costs things like this happens .Keep us updated.

EVERY brand of 2 oz trigger that I have ever used has this problem when primers pierce, the third lever breaks without fail. The broken third lever allows for very light trigger pull, however, we always had a spare trigger in our range box...just in case.
