Hi All,
Well, that was a great weekend –perhaps not as great as it would have been if the humidity had been a bit lower, but pretty OK by any standards.
First, a big Bridgeville welcome to returning shooter Tim Moore, and ‘new to us’ shooters Chrystal Altendorf and Kit Creighton –WELCOME ABOARD! I hope you had enough fun to come back again soon.
Second, a HUGE thank you to all that helped with setup and teardown of the targets –it was hot, sweaty work, and you all did great. We couldn’t do this without you. A special thanks to Steve Palmieri who pitched in with initial setup early on Saturday morning –thanks Steve!
And, as always a big Thank You to George and Nikki –they sure do a lot to make sure we have a nice place to shoot, and it is important that you all let them know.
Next bit of housekeeping, is that thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise a bit over $1,000.00 dollars for DSSA –THANK YOU!
Alright, enough of that Frank, what about the results????? OK, if I must…
We will start today with F-T/R.
Boy, Todd Norfleet was on FIRE this weekend! Counting both team matches, Todd dropped a total of three points for the weekend! Holy Cow!
In looking at the individuals, he dropped only one point for the 4 matches, firing a very nice 799-52X for the “W” –Well done, Todd!
Andy Amber, who decided to get out the T/R rifle this weekend, shot a very nice 791-42X for the #2 spot –nice shooting, Andy!
Pretty ‘new guy’ Jeremiah Cannon is tearing it up in Master Class, firing a nice 781-29X, juuuuuust edging out Mike McNair at 781-28X

.
Not sure where all the F-Open guys were this weekend, but Herb Egberts posted a nice 793-40X for the class win.
It was also nice to see Jeff Hague on the line again –hopefully he gets a little time to enjoy shooting again, instead of constantly fighting for our right to do so!
Thanks for all you do for all of us, Jeff!
Over on the sling side, we had a pretty good turnout with some variety in rifle types.
We had Gregg and Terry shooting Vintage Sniper Rifles in the only caliber that is never a bad choice; .30-06

.
We had Mark Boyd, Kit Creighton, and John Baretto shooting AR-Tactical rifle in mouse gun and rat gun calibers.
We also had a good number of Palma as well as Any rifles on the line.
At the end of the day though, Jon Howell took home the “W” firing a very nice 798-48X with his iron sighted .223 Remington Palma rifle. Well done, Jon!
Trevor Hengehold had a pretty good weekend too, firing a nice 794-39X with his Any rifle.
Mark Boyd is gaining ground on that High Master card in AR-T, firing a nice 397-17X today. Well done!
We at BRPC will be taking a bit of a break to allow folks to shoot the various National Matches (though those seem more spread out these days…).
OUR next match will be a Long-Range Team challenge match, following this weekend’s format of two individual matches and a 2-man team match each day, but at 1,000 yards.
That match is scheduled for August 22-24, with an open practice on Friday, August 22nd.
Other matches are available in the area though, including 3 x 600 prone match at New Holland, PA next weekend;
https://www.nhrpc.org/midrangefclass
And another 3 x 600 at Cumberland Riflemen in New Jersey on August 3rd;

Both clubs run great matches, so if you haven’t been there, or haven’t been in a while, give them a try!
