Brass trimming dilemma

I'm relatively new to reloading and I'm in a situation where I could use some advice. I recently purchased 500 pulled 308 LC military brass. I cleaned up the tar from inside the neck, resized the neck and started trimming it to the 2.005 min length when I've noticed that in some instances the trimmer touches only half of the mouth (for lack of better term) leaving the other half with a rough edge (I guess from the initial crimping?). I have about 200 pieces of brass that are shorter than the minimum length. My question is: should I trim them to less than the min length - let's say to 2.000 or even 1.995? Would this present any risk or reduce the life of the brass?

The only caveat I can think of is that you may find a bit of carbon build up in the throat area but that can be cleaned out pretty easily. Frankly, while I wouldn't suggest being reckless about it, I wouldn't be concerned with a .010 overshoot in the trim. Like skyav8r said, "they will grow".
Congratulations on your decision to err on the side of caution in the reloading process.

You are over worrying. Shoot them at the length as you have trimmed them (or not), even LaPua brass will show similar “symptoms”.
